Today we did a variety of tasks to insure that our planning was sufficeint, and one ofthem included the titles as shown below.
Above is the opening title that would later be incorporated within our opening sequence, and this was created by scott. The way in which he did this was by creating effects, which included moving text, and gave it a moving texture. In addition the style of the text was given a grey fog colour scheme, as well as trying to incorporate light and dark elements, which emphasise and draw you attentions to the titles. The font used was a blod and decaying looking style, which essentailly would connote a sense of the surroundings being structurally unsound, as well as, linking its idea of restrictionssuggested by the film, eventually being broken down.
.
This title are where the names of our groups, as well as casting memebers could potentially be incorporated inside our title sequence. Within this title Scott had to create two different text tracks within one shot, that would eventually be animated in a way that allowed them to move off the screen in different directions. The way in which i done this was by going to the "track" option, and then "create new effect"; this gave me access to the "effect" tab and chose the "accelerate" option which as suggested by the name allowed Scott the control the rate at which the titles would move off the screen. This effect had the then become coherent in my other titles, and therefore was duplicated, and and applied to the other titles as required.
This is merely a screen shown of the aforementioned "effect" in progress, and your able to see the text animating out of the shot.
The effect Scott used in this was slightly different because instead of the text animating out of the shot they positioned themselves inside the centre of the shot, bringing up "Scott's" name, and due to the increased size, this essentailly allowed this text to stand out, this would eventually be apllied to all the text, in order to insure that they were all the same proportion. The same type of colour scheme, and textual effects have been used in all titles but are predominanatly more significant in the main title.
