Character casting

The above video contains some other characters interviewed for our thriller film, Tanika Gibbert, Kadeem Gordon, Paul Abustan and Jubel Rahman. Each of which were casted for certain roles within the thriller, but as our thriller contained no dialogue we chose not to record any footage but had still images of each person from different angles.

Restricted Props

Within this clip are various shots of our props that we used in order to create an array of different effects and help portray our narrative to the audience most effectively. In addition the props we used were the chemical equipments, lights, massive box, mechanical equipment, model dummy.

Lighting
We used an array of different lighting effects continuously throughout our thriller from the lights entering the box to the lights at the operating table. We used different light sources such as a lamp, photography lamp, Redhead, various coloured gels, natural lights. They're primarily used in order to help enforce that sense of realism within the story, and helped make it seem more believable.

Chemical equipment
We used chemical equipment such as bottles, chemicals tubs, chemicals signs, all of which were used within our final products. They were used in order to help display the theme of conspiracy, and legal elements within our thriller.

Background frame support
This was used in order to create the background frame for the operating scene, and it helped to hold up the white sheet.

Large wooden box
Another one of the main props we used the box, which contained the protagonist and was the focal point of the entire opening sequence.

29/03/2011 log - Soundtrack, Editing and Filming

Today after receiving feedback from the day before we reassessed our thriller, and decided to make numerous amounts of changes. Some of those changes involved re-filming certain aspects of the our thriller, such as getting various shots of inside the box, as well as getting the box with greater light, allowing the audience see the box more clearly. In addition we re-filmed the the surgery part as i believed that it didn't convey the narrative i wanted to put across Another one of the things we changed was the soundtrack, we decided to go for a more tension building and mysterious approach, rather than our original fast paced soundtrack, which inevitably didn't suit the pace the story conveyed. We have yet to fully touch upon the rest of the changes.

Visual production soundtrack

This is the soundtrack that was used within our thriller film, and it was produced using the program garageband. There were a vast amount of different versions of this becuase certain key elements were either out of sync, or missing certains parts.

Production Logo

This was our final production logo that we decided to go with, due to the fact that it anchored the production name and emphasized the fact that were not associated with mainstream commercial film industry. In order to make this we took, and image of a persons eye close up, and from there we decided to add various effects. Initially we wanted to make the picture in color, and give the iris a rainbow effect, however we decided to go with a black and white effect, because of the fact that it seemed more professional and simplistic. The program we used was Adobe Photo shop.

1/04/2011 log - Finishing Edting, Soundtrack, Livetype, and new production logo

Today we all continued the tasks that we were doing before in order to meet our deadlines. While there are still little segments that need to be tweaked as well we're still on track towards finishing. When it comes to editing all that Paul needs to do is that re-arrange some of the clips as well as add the production logo in front of the entire thriller. When it comes to music, Muhidur needs to still adjust the music in order to sync with the actual movie. In addition he needs to insure that the pitches of music within certain segments of the thriller, aren't too overpowering nor are they too quiet. Furthermore he needs to begin adding some diegetic effects in order to make the  music more natural. Scott needs to once again re-do the livetype as the effects placed upon it apparently don't suit the type of film we're making. While i need to re-film little segments to insure they look as realistic and professional as possible.

7/04/2011 log - Work on audience feedback

Today our group are altering the thriller in response to the audience feedback that was given to us, concerning all the elements such as the mise en scene, sound and titles, which we key areas where people seemed to have problems. Therefore it means that Scott is editing the titles, and Muhidur has had to adjust the music slightly. Those seem to be are main objectives for today, besides updating our blog. In addition some refilming is required as well as some more editing.

Audience Feeback

Mise en Scene
Our audience feedback concerning the mise en scene was that it suited our overall concept, and the we were able to incorporate things withing the mise en scene that really emphasized our story. Certain people said that the wasn't variation in the scenery e.g no outside shouts, various locations. However certain people believed that it suited our title "restricted", and the whole sense of a lack of knowledge therefore giving us the capability of getting the information in segments rather than all at one, once again relating back to our mise en scene which is restricted yet still giving you a sense of location. Another criticism was that it didn't really allow people to feel as if they could possibly relate to the area as it wasn't a home or or an open location. Furthermore something else that some of the audiences liked was the props used e.g the box, and the lights, the holes, etc. In addition they said that they liked the way the light just seeps through the cracks, and really highlights certain areas of the box, creating a "mysterious and suspenseful feeling".

Cinematography
Our audience feedback concerning the cinematography was quite varied; this was because of the fact that people liked the various angles we used to capture the characters within the thriller, such as high, slanted angles. In addition they liked the POV perspective due to the fact that it was original and it "allowed the emotions of the character to be conveyed onto the audience". A slight complaint was that people believed the section with the person in the box wasn't varied enough, and merely consisted of just him staying in the box for and extensive period of time. It was suggested that we try and vary the shots more with the close up of the eyes, and a variation of shots inside the box, to give a greater sense of location.

Editing
Our feedback concerning the editing wasn't that extensive. However one of the comments was that the tints added to the film made the seem more eerie and it was also made it seems more thriller like. In addition they said that it was rather smooth, and fluid from scene to scene, as well as a variety of different editing techniques, such as shot reverse shot etc.

Title
The titles were quite a significant problem due to the fact that people believed that our original typography didn't suit the whole concept of a thriller. In addition they believed the tech effects seemed far to action like instead of being mysterious, and thriller like. Furthermore they believed that it seemed to clean and slick, rather than being more rigid, and also they were refereed to as being "cliche and tacky". In addition the clarity of the titles was quite poor due to the fact that they were placed in very hard to see places, as well as the color being dull and boring. However one of the good criticisms was that people said it required a lot of technical skill, and it was great in terms of technical aspects. Some of the suggestions made by the audience were that maybe we should try and have title that were more clean cut in order to portray this sense of restriction, however avoid making them seem boring. In addition it was suggested that we change the place in which they were placed due to fact that the are seemed to far away from the beginning, as well as being in placed in sections of the thriller were the titles are indistinct.

Music
The music went down quite well and very little negative comments were made. One of those included that the music at certain aspects had too high a pitch at points were you'd expect the music to be a lot less dramatic, but more calm. However one of the good criticisms was that the music was well put together, and then actually fit the thriller as a whole because it was a mysterious yet tension building soundtrack, and ostensibly pleasing to the ears. However once again it wasn't always in time with the film, and therefore seemed rushed and uncompleted at points. It was suggested that we revise the music and try to make it seem less dramatic at certain sections as well as making it suit the more calm yet tension building.

Conventions of a thriller
Some of the conventions that people believed were incorporated into the were a sense of mystery and restriction, as well as a sense of realism due to the fact that there are houses and building, and a very localized area, which allows the audience to relate to it better.  In addition people believed that we played upon a sense of restricted narration, which inevitably created enigma codes, causing the audience to ponder the possibilities of our narrative.  However one of the problems were that people believed that our narrative was too restricted meaning that people weren't able to understand the plot as very little information concerning the narrative wasn't given. Some suggestions that were made

31/03/2011 log - Every aspects of thriller

Today everyone inside the group basically acted upon the feedback, and translated that back into the thriller. Scott redesigned the live type, which consisted of him basically upgrading the old live type, and basically just decided go change the color, font design and possibly the place in which the titles appear. In addition we decided to change the words inside the titles such as rather outlining everyone roles, we instead made the titles similar to that of a normal film. By this i meant that they consists of the directors name and the actors.

Within this screen shot it shows The initial redesigning of the titles consisted of Scott trying to figure out a way by which we could use our original effects yet still making sure that it suits the genre and our overall plot.  He positioned the titles, and the "object" (tech effect) within the edge of the scene, and was deciding the proportions of both of them. In addition he wanted to insure that the "object wasn't dominant and more subtle, yet still capable of being unique and appealing.

Within this screen shot it shows the entire program used, and the structure of the the titles. In addition it shows that various layers of titles, and "objects" used. Furthermore it shows how Scott tried to play around with the fonts, one that would once again suit the genre of our film as well as the overall story plot.

One of the other thing we did today was the music, which was created by Muhidur. Initially our music was quite fast paced, and lacked any tension building areas. This meant that it didn't suit the pace portrayed inside them film, and so as a group we decided that it show change.

Within this screen shot it shows the new music which was a lot more tension building, and in rhythm with the entire film (despite the fact that it isn't finished) Furthermore in order to make the beat as perfect as possible he adjusted the volume accordingly to the thriller, and layers various beats upon each other to create a uniquely suspenseful sound. Furthermore the larger segments of music at the bottom of the print screen is  essentially just a close up the music, which just makes it easier for Muhidur to spot out problems.

This screen shot is merely further along the soundtrack, and essentially just shows the various layers of the track. Once again he is adjusting the volume and pitch of the soundtrack.

Another one of the thing we did was the editing, done by Paul. He practically added additional effects as well as continued the editing the rest of the movie.

Within this print screen it shows one of the color tint effects, and he essentially added tints in order to create a suspenseful, and more eerie mise en scene.

17/03/2011 - 18/03/2011 log - Soundtrack and Filming

Today Jubel began making the music for our thriller, and is attempting to make it mysterious, tense and suspenseful, however we want to allow the music to make sure that it doesn't give away the movie straightaway, so that it has a build up towards the main segment of the thriller.  The program that he used was Garage Band. In order to create his soundtrack Jubel created the soundtrack in sections, and  used the Garage band selection, which consisted of instruments, bass, vocals and natural sounds. From there he selected five elements, and placed them together in order to create a beat. He extended the beat, and varied it in length as well as changed and tempo, and pitch of a that particular section in order to fit a select segment of our thriller.

These are screen shot of different sections of his work, when creating the beat.

Everyone else in the group continued to film, and when wondering around we stumbled upon the perfect box, which was a million times better than our initial prop. The look of the box was more run down, dangerous and more realistic. Furthermore it was quite a large box, which then insured that our main character felt comfortable, which was a major complaint.Within the box it has additional features, which  included holes, which would then allow us to re-create our shimmering natural light effect.

However on the 18th after filming everything, our tape seems to have failed. Therefore we've lost everything we previously filmed and have to do it again.

15/03/2011 log - Opening of thriller sequence

Today we had been editing together the first part of our thriller sequence. On the weekend before we had filmed segments of our thriller, and due to the fact that we hadn't acquired the main component, which was our box we had to film other things, such as the lead up to the main events that would unfold. We filmed a further lead up to the box, but this time when inside the unknown establishment.

As you can see here to the left, this is the first part of when we began filming inside. We wanted to get a mysterious yet natural look as well as a sense of continuity, especially since it was sunny outside. NI addition the light coming in form the bottom of the door contrast with the dark black taking up the majority of the scene. We wanted to do this because it also creates a sense of restriction for the audience linking in with the thriller's title. In order to get this effect we use an extremely powerful light source and shone it at the bottom of the door, while opening it slightly allowing some light to escape.

We found it rather challenging due to the fact that we wanted an area that was reachable yet still had the sense of enclosure as well as evoking some sense of conspiracy and a top secret area. In order to make a lead up to the box we wanted to get the really mysterious "eye brow raising" aspects of the room, and i believe we achieved this as seen in the print screens below.

This suggests a sense of danger, and relates back to the theme of our narrative, which revolves around restriction, the government, and conspiracy.

The once again gives a sense of location, and raises enigma codes.

This relates back to the sense of government operation and hidden files etc.

T* One of the targets we've set our selves is to insure that we begin filming the main segments of the thriller, and then be capable to attempt the depth of film part of the thriller sequence.

Failed uploads

Unfortunately both our final live type as well as our audience feedback have proven to be extremely hard to upload due to technical failure caused by the site. In order to solve this issue and insure that our work is seen, we shall be burning both of them onto a disk and that shall be the given in addition with our blog.

Restricted's Storyboard

Below is the opening sequence shot list to our film Restricted:

1) Establishing shoit of a highly populated area, and showing a variey of flats and houses

2) Mid-shot of a particular house/flat thats run down, dirty, yet humane enough to lvie in, and highlightinbg finer details of the house/flat.

3) The camera would then cut insdie the house, and be at the bottom of the door with light seeping in from the bottom, and then slowly pans away from door, while eveything else is significantly dark with speckles of light from various corners.

4)  Would continue to pan towards the left, and camera looking from a high angle of the window with lgith coming through it in a downwards direction.

5) The camera would slowly move from a high angle to a low angle of some type of containers like objects, that looks dingy, and old, yet stable.

6) Then the camera would pan through a crack situated in the centre of the box, and while goinjg through crack, a figure would slowly emerge infornt.

7) We'd then see a slocuhed, feeble and weak looking figure of a woman that could be indentified as a female, with the light creeping through the box highlighting various features of her body such as legs, part of face, hand etc.

8) We'd cut outside of the box, on the other side, and we'd slowly begin to pan away, while girl is looking thorugh hole, and all surrounding are in depth of field except her eye looking through the whole as well as the box.

9) everything would be in depth of field except the box a d her looking through the crack, and it would be bright, and it'd be panning away from the box towards another side. So it's mid way.

10) at this point it would've panned to a certain point, everything as before but the box is further away and everything is in depth of field including the box. This time in the corner of the shot to the right there'd be a table with a dish on top full of tools, but that would be clear.

11) it's be the exact same scene as above but this time a band would be going in to grab the dish but it's be halfway down, and not yet at the dish. He'd be wearing gloved with blood stains on it, and a bit of his sleeve would be shown, no other body parts.

12) From there the camera would be in POV from the girls point of view looking through the whole, and you'd be 4 people standing around a table operating, dresses in operating clothes, with blood staines on them, and the doctors hand would be inside the bowls, and you'd see his entire body, along with the other. Large flood lights would be above them, and on the doctors would be gathered around the person they're operating on, but their legs would be hanging from the corners.

13) this scene would consist of someone walking past the box, and the camera still in POV seeing their legs.

14) this time the camera would've swiveled around and you'd see the guy from the front front, and you'd need to make it seem like the camera is going through their legs.

15) this scene would consists of seeing a large man dressed like
a carpenter, but you'd see him from the back at a low angle. There would need to be a table in front of him with draws (basically a carpenter psychos table)

16) from there the camera would cut to a POV of the carpenter, sharpening some tools, and you'd see part of the table with other tools, and blood stains in it.

17) after you'd then see him put down the tools in his hand, and then open one of the draw, and reach inside it, this would all still happen from POV.

18) From there we'd cut inside the draw, with his hand reaching in to grab another tool, like axe or tongs. You'd slightly see the tool but mainly his hand which would look dirty, old, wearer out due work

19) from there it'd just be a plain black screen

20) From the black a door would open, and someone be standing their, but you'd only see their knees and downwards. Light would be flooding in behind them.

21) They'd then walk toward the camera, while it's facing them head on and one foot would be in front. More detail on the boot

22) After the camera would cut behind them and see him walking forward, and then walking towards the carpenter guy, but remember you'd only be seeing the knees and downwards. So you'd see the carpenters legs to the side of the shot, including part of the table.

23) After that the camera would be facing head on still tracking the guys in front, and you'd see the people operating but once again from their knees and downwards. Including the table that had the dish on it, and
you'd also see part of the box.

24) From their the you would walk towards the box, on the side where the hole the victim was looking through was. Still all from knees downwards.

25) From their the camera would cut to a POV of the victim inside the box, and the light coming through the holes would disappear, and part of her hair would be in the shot due to the POV.

26) The. It'd cut to a POV of the man outside the box taking a key from his pocket

27) Cut back inside the box still in POV of the victim, and she'd be looking up at the roof of the box, and could faintly see a figure from
outside the box

28) Cut back to the POV of the guy picking up the lock on the box, and places key inside it.

29) Cuts back inside the box, still in POV of the victim, and she retreats to a corner of the box, holding her knees close to her, so you see her own hand, and knees because she'd be looking down.

30) After that it's cut to a POV of man taking off the lock, and slightly opens the box lid.

31) Cuts back inside the box with girl looking up still in POV, and lid opens, and through the gap where the lid has opened you can see the
section of the man outside

32) Same scene as above but this time lid is more opened, and a lot
of light floods the box but you can still slightly see the door of the box box but it's overtake. By the a amount of light.

33) Scene ends and light turns into title

17/02/2011 Pt 2 log - Animatic

Above is the animatic (without titles), and this esssentially is the storyboard that was created by me (Junior), and drawn by Scott. It merely contains the various shots that would be inside of our opening sequence, as well some music made by Paul, that was incorporated to effectively allow the audience to feel the emotion that we as a group were trying to convey. The animatic it's self was made in "iMovie", and shot with a Flip camera, by taking pictures of all the different shots. We then imported them, and then edited it in iMovie. As mentioned in previous logs we encountered problems with the software, and had to remake it, but with far greater skill. We as a group all added to it, i scripted the shot types, as well as edited them (Junior), Scott drawed the shots, Muhudir filmed and uploaded the shots, and Paul made the soundtrack. Furthermore to insure that there was no shaiking in shots, we used a still effect the essentailly took camera shots of the desired period within that indivdual take, which made the animatic seem more professional.

17/02/2011 Pt 1 log - Titles

Today we did a variety of tasks to insure that our planning was sufficeint, and one ofthem included the titles as shown below.
Above is the opening title that would later be incorporated within our opening sequence, and this was created by scott. The way in which he did  this was by creating effects, which included moving text, and gave it a moving texture. In addition the style of the text was given a grey fog colour scheme, as well as trying to incorporate light and dark elements, which emphasise and draw you attentions to the titles. The font used was a blod and decaying looking style, which essentailly would connote a sense of the surroundings being structurally unsound, as well as, linking its idea of restrictionssuggested by the film, eventually being broken down.
.
This title are where the names of our groups, as well as casting memebers could potentially be incorporated inside our title sequence. Within this title Scott had to create two different text tracks within one shot, that would eventually be animated in a way that allowed them to move off the screen in different directions. The way in which i done this was by going to the "track" option, and then "create new effect"; this gave me access to the "effect" tab and chose the "accelerate" option which as suggested by the name allowed Scott the control the rate at which the titles would move off the screen. This effect had the then become coherent in my other titles, and therefore was duplicated, and and applied to the other titles as required.
This is merely a screen shown of the aforementioned "effect" in progress, and your able to see the text animating out of the shot.

The effect Scott used in this was slightly different because instead of the text animating out of the shot they positioned themselves inside the centre of the shot, bringing up "Scott's" name, and due to the increased size, this essentailly allowed this text to stand out, this would eventually be apllied to all the text, in order to insure that they were all the same proportion. The same type of colour scheme, and textual effects have been used in all titles but are predominanatly more significant in the main title.

15/02/2011 log - Malfunctions

Today we encountered a number of problem which included our animatic film malfunction, and our slides would move from one to the other, and we initially thought it was due to the transition but found that this wasn't the case. Paul tried various methods to attempt at fixing the animatic, but would work. Therefore we must now reshoot all of the drawing again, as well as add music, folly, and all titles.

While that was happening Scott still hadn't finished doing the drawing, and thefore he started finishing the drawings, he had around nine shots left to draw, and both me, and Jubel we creating our audience profile, trying to come up with movies which inspired us, as well as films titles, music, mise en scene, etc. We came to the concusion that we need to take some recees, and so have asigned Paul to take some, and they shall hopefully be uploaded onto our group blog before the end of the school week. The "Audience Profile" presentation shall be uploaded tommorow.

13/02/2011 log - Planning

Today i began writing the opening narrative sequence in explicit detail, referring not only to what would happens but the specific shot types, lighting, sounds, characters, mise en scene, and editing. I produed it using Word as it was a very lenghty description, this can be found on the blog. In addition i recreated our film profile as it wasn't sufficient enough, and our narrative was lacking creativity or depth therefore as mentioned above i recreated the narrative with the aid of my partners in order to produce a more orginal and intense openign sequence. This was also added to blog, along with audience feed back.

Scott prodcued the indpeth storyboard for our opening seuqence, and skillfully drawed all of the shots to the exacting description he was provided with. He did this using his sketch book, and gained access to the shot type description through Facebook.

Paul and Jubel both reserched some music, and that could njot only be placed inside the animaticv but also the actual op-ening sequence, each provding their own examples of music, as well as the folly that would be incorporated inside the opening sequence.

14/02/2011 log - First live type and logo attempt

Today Scott began using live type, which would be incorporated within our animation of our storyboard, and therefore as mentioned within our treatment the title would appear right at the end of the scene, and merge in with the flood of lights. I tried to incorporate a mysterious atmosphere within the title, allowing it to seem eerie, and allow the light to merge the light to allow a fluid transition from both scenes.

Today Paul used Photo Shop to create the production logo for our media group. We attempted to go for a mysterious, yet eye catching visual style, and are trying to incorporate this sense of misguided perception, which relates to our title Restricted.

In addition Jubel and Junior began to create as cast lists, as well as get audience feedback from our target audience, however relaised that we hadn't fully establised what our target audience would be, and there will begin to create a presentation entitled "Audience Profile" giving specific information about are taget audience would be. It would be broken down into Age, Gender and ethnicity with reason behind why we made certain choices, and examples of existing media that has influenced our ideas. Another one of our task was to begin filimg our animatic, which didnt actually have all of the shots drawn, so we were unable to finsh it. Also the camera didnt pick up the detail of the drawing becuase of how light the images were, so Paul began darkening them. Furthermore once again as a group we reconsidered the name of our film for a variety of reason, which included a lack of representation for the film, and it just didnt make sense, and so we decided to change it from "One look" to "Restricted" but as shown above, when producing the title "One look" was the title that had been establised when Scott was using love type.

Visual Production's Pitch

Opening sequence narrative

Our scene would initially begin with an establishing shot of a decomposing, run down neighborhood with dirty, dingy building, connoting a lack of stability, and danger. From there it’d cut to a mid-shot of a particular establishment, highlighting the more detailed features of building, while it’d be panning across the house looking at the cracked windows, damaged walls, all of which would convey a sense of how deserted the building is. Form there we’d cut inside the building, with the camera facing the door; the door would have light seeping in from the bottom of it, and then we’d slowly begin to pan away form the door.

At this point the lighting would be extremely low, meaning you barely be able to see anything aside the places that the light creeping in would highlight. While the camera would be panning you’d be hearing sounds of sharpening tools, screaming, whips, and other spine chilling noise, all amplified by folly. After that a greater amount of light would be peering from a high corner of the room, which the camera would be viewing at a high angle, and as the camera slowly moved down we’d see the silhouette of a large object in the other side of the room, and we’d transition from a high angle of the window to a low angle on the crate (some level of containment). The camera would then be moved in front of the box, and would slowly move in through a crack in the object. We’d then appear inside of the crate, and on the other side of it, and fragile, limp, weak, and motionless figure would be slouched against one of the sides.

The camera would be viewing her from a mid-shot so the audience would be looking at her from above the knees, and her clothes, and hair would be in tatters. In addition light would be emerging from the crack that the camera move form, once again highlighting certain key features of her face, yet not enough to get a full visual; this is to retain the mystery yet allow the audience to empathize with her. We’d then cut to another side of the box were our victim would be looking through another hole, and you’d clearly see her eye, and it would pan away form the box, while everything else besides the box would be in depth of field, and there would be a greater amount of light in comparison to the other side of the room. The camera would’ve panned for at least six seconds until it’s got to a point where a table, and some sort of dish with sharp tools would emerge form the corner of the shot, and at this point everything else would become depth of field except the table, and the dish (During all the panning form the wall with the crack up to the table there would also be other characters walking past, in depth of field), and someone would be about to pick something up out of the dish. As the unknown character put his hand in the dish, the camera would cut back to the victim but we’d be looking from a POV perspective with the victim’s eyes blinking.

The camera would be looking at a group of people dressed in operating costumes, with blood on their hands, all circled around a table. In addition you’d see sections of a person on the table, such as their legs, should, hand etc. The shot would be slightly blurred due to the large amount of light over the operating table. Someone would them walk past, and camera would swivel around them looking at a different part of the room, and the camera would move towards them, while the corner would appear dingy, tramp, a little flicker of light would be in the corner above them. We’d then cut to that characters perspective and we’d see him sharpening some tools, and from there would open and then begin to reach inside a draw, the camera would then cut inside the draw as his hand would be coming towards the camera. The screen would go black, and appear at an angle where you’d only see a man, which dark, solid boots walking, and the camera would be tracking him through another unknown section up towards the box. From there the camera cross cut to the victims perspective as the light seeping into the box would disappear due to the figure outside of it. Then the camera would again cross cut to the other character, and he’d take a key out of his pocket, and pick up a lock on top of the box.

The camera would again cut to the victims’ perspective, and she’d retreat away to one side of the box as see could hear unlocking sounds (which would be amplified by folly). In addition the camera would then cross cut back to the outside character for the last time, and he’s be removing the lock, and slowly begin to open the box. Then it’d cut back inside the box still from a POV, and the box would open and light would flood the box, as well as the scene, and the scene would end with the title of the film emerging form the light “One Look”. (Furthermore throughout the entire cross cutting segment the soundtrack would gradually build up until the end of the scene, and it’d die down as the title came up.)
